Hi,
It’s the 24th of December and that only means one thing! It’s time the second last Christmas themed post of the year and how aptly named it is. Three hours from now it will officially be Christmas Day and I am so excited!!!!!
But anyway, I was scrolling through my feed when I stumbled upon this gem of a post by Thrice Read. Their final words were “feel free to do this tag” and so I replied internally with the great words of Barney Stinson – “Challenge accepted”.
1. CHRISTMAS EVE MORNING
– What is a book you wake up excited to read?
I am yet to join the Raven Cycle hype and I want to be part of it so much! I own the first two – all I need to do is find time to read it (the famous last words of a book blogger before it disappears into the never-ending TBR pile)
2.CHRISTMAS EVE BREAKFAST
– What is your favourite treat/food during the holidays?
Galaxy chocolate! It is my absolute fave and it comes in bulk bars at Christmas so I die from happiness!
3.FAMILY TIME
– What is a book that fills you with happiness and love and the warm fuzzies in general?
I can’t give only one answer because I am a very easily swayed emotionally person I guess because it takes very little romance for me to be melting like frosty the snowman.
But I said the other day …
…It doesn’t take much for me to melt, get extreme feels and cry because cuteness or happiness. So this was extremely tough.
I can’t pick between The Lynburn Legacy Series again or The Boy Who Sneaks In My Bedroom Window by Kirsty Moseley. They both had the perfect mix of sadness and happiness that had me constantly in the state of extreme heart meltage.
…So I am sticking with that answer.
4.CHRISTMAS CAROLS
– What are your favourite Christmas carols/songs, or holiday songs?
White Christmas by Bing Crosby because I love the musical or Fairytale of New York by the Pogues because it is so upbeat and reminds me of a Scottish conversation (despite the fact the singers are Irish)
5.ANTICIPATION
– What book release are you very much anticipating?
So many but I would say either the third in the Beyond Moondust Trilogy by … or the sequal to Pink Lock Picks and Sequined Witch Hats by Carla Rehse.
6.SLEIGH BELLS ON THE ROOF
– You hear Santa on the roof and you’re very excited for the goodies! What book kept you up late at night?
Every book I have ever read! I am a late night reader so its not unusual for me to be up at all hours reading – now if I start reading it at school you know its a serious obsession.
7.CHRISTMAS MORNING
– What book or item has been on your wishlist that you’re anticipating, perhaps receiving, this Christmas?
I am not asking for any books for Christmas – just the money so I can buy them at a later date when they take my fancy.
I know you are all probably fed up of the Christmas Tags but I promise tomorrow (aka the big day) will be the last one for a year.
Anyway – Have a fabby day tomorrow if you don’t tune in for the post.
Merry Christmas to one and all!
Maisy.
