A Character I Love In A Book I Hate

Top character I love in a book I hate

How was everyone’s Easter weekend? I am still on my spring break so I should, in theory, have plenty of time to do blog posts but who knows?
This is one of the Top Ten Tuesday posts that was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. And this is this Tuesday’s. But as I have been doing my top 5 series recently I thought I would do a combination of them both, until…I realised that a major reason for me hating a book is that I hate all the characters and therefore I cannot think of more than one. I have ranted about this book many, many, many times but the most succinct one is HERE if you want to know why I hate the book in more detail.

Damien from House of Night Series by PC and Kristen Cast:
I have ranted about how much I hate this series many times, and I have also mentioned how the only redeemable character (a feature of it all really) is Damien. He brings colour to a whole world of dull and boring. I mean he is no Jared or Daemon but he is up there.

“Actually, since I’m gay I think I should count for two guys instead of just one. I mean, in me you get the male point of view and you don’t have to worry about me wanting to touch your boobies.”
― P.C. CastMarked (this is the only quotes of his I could find online)

I swear I tried to think of more characters that I liked but there was none – plenty of books I love with protagonists I hate, that would be a hefty list. Maybe I should do that one soon?
Anyway, sorry for the short post, I’m blaming my good taste in books that leaves me having a lot of favourites and not many hates.

Thanks and Happy Reading,
