I Love Spring Book Tag 2019

Hi,

Sorry today’s post is up later than usual. I thought I had one scheduled…turns out I didn’t hence why I am writing it now. I just watched the final of the Great British Sewing Bee and it was incredible! I had been routing for the winner since week one so I was so happy when they got what they deserved after all their hard work. If you haven’t seen it I would recommend.
Anyway, exactly one year ago today I did this tag and I thought it would be interesting to redo it and see how my answers have changed. HERE is my one from last year if you want to check out my answers.
Enough dillydallying; let’s get cracking.

HOW IS SPRING WHERE YOU LIVE?

I was maybe a little dramatic last year or maybe it’s global warming, but Scotland is not always raining. It does rain a lot but recently we have been very lucky with some sun. However, today we had hail and it is was 8°c (46.4°f) so not the best example of nice weather. It’s usually pretty windy and the pollen is not fun.

MOST ANTICIPATED BOOK RELEASE THIS SPRING?

Collision (Phobos #3) by Victor Dixen, is due to come out in April and I am so excited!! I already have it pre-ordered and it will be read as soon as it arrives!

The Genesis Programme reality TV show has brought twelve young astronauts to Mars, to face unprecedented hostility. An even greater danger is now threatening Earth, but the viewers are too glued to their screens and the rescue mission to see what is really happening. Leonor is ready to risk everything to bring out the truth and warn the world. She can never admit defeat – but can she fight her last fight alone?

WHAT BOOK COVER MAKES YOU THINK OF SPRING?

This hasn’t changed. It is still Casting Shadows (Flynn #3) by Sophie McKenzie – the cover is just so nice and springy:

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO READ THIS SPRING?

I didn’t read this question right last year and said books I was planning on reading, not where I planned on reading them. As much as I love outside, I will probably be reading in bed as per usual. I love reading in bed. It calms me and focus’s me. Also, I read aloud to make sure I take in every word and immerse myself more, so reading outside of the privacy of my room is a little odd for people who hear me.

FIND A COVER WITH THE SUN ON IT!

I’ll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. I am yet to read this but I am excited for it.
Jude and her twin Noah are close until a tragedy drives them apart. Now they are barely speaking – and both are falling for boys they can’t have. Love’s complicated.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SPRING READS?

One that I actually read this year in Winter, but made me excited for Spring was The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E.Smith. I have a full review of HERE.

Imagine if she hadn’t forgotten the book. Or if there hadn’t been traffic on the expressway. Or if she hadn’t fumbled the coins for the toll. What if she’d run just that little bit faster and caught the flight she was supposed to be on. Would it have been something else – the weather over the Atlantic or a fault with the plane?
Hadley isn’t sure if she believes in destiny or fate but, on what is potentially the worst day of each of their lives, it’s the quirks of timing and chance events that mean Hadley meets Oliver…Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver’s story will make you believe that true love finds you when you’re least expecting it.

FIND A BOOK WITH MANY DIFFERENT COLOURS ON IT.

Songs About a Girl by Chris Russel has a holographic cover, hence meaning it has every colour of the rainbow on it, that shifts in the light. Very pretty!! I am yet to read this but I am very excited for it!

Charlie Bloom never wanted to be ‘with the band’. She’s happiest out of the spotlight, behind her camera, unseen and unnoticed. But when she’s asked to take backstage photos for hot new boy band Fire&Lights, she can’t pass up the chance. Catapulted into a world of paparazzi and backstage bickering, Charlie soon becomes caught between gorgeous but damaged frontman, Gabriel West, and his boy-next-door bandmate Olly Samson. Then, as the boys’ rivalry threatens to tear the band apart, Charlie stumbles upon a mind-blowing secret, hidden in the lyrics of their songs…

Just like last year, I tag anyone who is interested because this is nice and simple and cute and yeah – kind of fun. I love my idea of doing this for each season. Maybe I will actually do it this year XD

I hope you enjoyed this repeat tag. I love redoing things to see how much I have grown and changed. You should try it because it’s really motivating to see how far you’ve come. See you soon ❤
