Hiya,
How is your Tuesday going? I just got back from a driving lesson so I want to pass out but I need to get this up so I’m not going to procrastinate by napping. I have decided that I get the most excited to write these posts, I look forward to them each month.
If you haven’t been following my Goodreads updates (Which you should be😉) you won’t know that I haven’t read much this month so this might be a little short but that makes up for the mammoth of a post I uploaded yesterday Tehe 😂. As always if you want in depth reviews, comment below and I will happily provide.
Read:
I re-read Fall from Grace by Christine Zolendz for the 3rd time. I never get sick of this book! It is amazing, the whole series is incredible. I thoroughly gushed about it recently in this post HERE. It’s hilarious, and gets funnier each time. The romance is gripping and original. The intertwining plots are just a dream to read. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would!
Here is my original Goodreads review from the first time I read it back in May 2017, plus the update when I reread it last year:

I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!!!!
I can’t say how much I loved this book, yes it was a little confusing but it was so worth it!!! the plot was incredible! the characters even better and the chemistry between them all was insane!!! I loved the band aspect too. THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I AM OFFICIALLY HOOKED ON THIS SERIES!!
I have been struggling to find a good series that I’m willing to continue with after the first book, I’m so glad this game up on my recommended list. Everyone needs to read this book!
What a marvellous unsung hero!
REREAD EDIT: Is it possible to rate a book higher than 5 stars? I didn’t think it was possible but its got funnier the second time around! I still hold the opinion that everyone should read this because it is incredible!
The second and final book I read this month was Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett. This is another 5/5 star review for me. I adore everything I have read from Jenn Bennett and this takes the cake. Here is my review plus my updates whilst reading. A full review for this will be up soon ❤

July 25, 2019 – page 37 8.56% “So far this book infuriates me but somehow in a good way. Like its obscenely predictable at the moment but it makes it endearing. The characters are interesting so far and seem well fleshed out, unsurprisingly. I have read two other of Jenn Bennetts YA Romances and they did not disappoint! I have a feeling this will be no exception.”
July 28, 2019 – page 108 25.0% “Firstly, OMG they referenced The Princess Bride! Which is probably my all time favourite movie!
Secondly, Aunt Mona is amazing. I want to be her! She reminds me of my best friends and i if we were all rolled up into one person.
Thirdly, the plot is getting so good! Its so gripping and i just want more!
Finally, the writing is perfection and the flirty-humour is brilliant!”
July 28,2019 – Finished “Another brilliant Jenn Bennett masterpiece!
I was so caught up in it I forgot that time would pass and hence missed posting on my blog…oops haha.
The writing was incredible as always; the perfect mix between humorous and serious while also being devastatingly accurate to how a teenager acts, thinks and speaks.
The characters (as always) are what swept me off my feet. Aunt Mona is my new favourite book character of all time, flawed and hilarious and bubbly and outrageous! You can’t have written a more loveable character.
Move aside Birdie because I have decided that Daniel is my dream guy. I can’t imagine a more perfect book boyfriend. I am already planning our wedding – it will be magnificent. I can’t describe how much I love him.
Birdie was an incredible character to read, her thoughts were so believable and she was such an interesting POV.
The plot in this was breathtaking! As a Tv Show Detective Superfan myself I connected with the main plot instantly, and related to Birdie so much as a character. The way Jenn Bennett weaves her multiple plot lines together is incredible! Normally YA is mildly predictable but I never mind because I’m a sucker for cuteness but this while some elements were predictable I definitely did not see some aspects coming at all!
It was a rollercoaster of a book and I loved every minute of it!!!”
Currently Reading:
I should probably give up on this but haven’t yet is Obscured by C.M Boers. I read this a couple of years ago when it was sent to me to review however, looking back I don’ think I gave it a very fair review so I am rereading it to see whether I still agree. I started this months ago, but it’s got supernatural/fantasy elements and I haven’t been in the mood for that recently so I haven’t wanted to pick it back up, even though I am sitting at about 70%.

Abby Martin thought she was an ordinary girl about to start high school. But when her mom announces that they’re moving to Arizona, vivid nightmares start plaguing Abby’s nights. As she settles into her new school and a cute guy named Pete catches her eye, she hopes that life might somehow get back to normal. To Abby’s horror, “normal” becomes a thing of the past as she’s swept up into a world of immortal protectors wielding supernatural gifts. When Abby realizes she’s a pawn in a centuries-old feud, she must figure out who she can trust before she’s caught in the crossfire. Prepare yourself for heart-pounding suspense in the world of Obscured, where nothing is as it seems and danger lurks in unexpected places.

The next one I started was Night Owls by Jenn Bennett. This is the only one of her YA romance novels I’m yet to read even though its the one I’ve owned the longest. I am determined to change that in August though. I’m only 3 chapters in but I’m just as intrigued as I expected to be.
Meeting Jack on the Owl—San Francisco’s night bus—turns Beatrix’s world upside down. Jack is charming, wildly attractive…and possibly one of San Francisco’s most notorious graffiti artists.
But Jack is hiding a piece of himself. On midnight rides and city rooftops, Beatrix begins to see who this enigmatic boy really is.

The last book I have started is Le Monde de Narnia, Le Lion, la Sorciere Blanche et l’Armoire magique by C.S. Lewis (The World of Narnia, The lion, the white witch and the magic wardrobe.) I’ve been wanting to improve my French so I have picked this up from the Library and I am attempting to read it. I’m only a couple pages in but so far I’m not crashing and burning haha. I’ve read the English version and I’m pretty sure that is my saving grace.
They open a door and enter a world,
NARNIA…the land beyond the wardrobe, the secret country known only to Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy…the place where the adventure begins. Lucy is the first to find the secret of the wardrobe in the professor’s mysterious old house. At first, no one believes her when she tells of her adventures in the land of Narnia. But soon Edmund and then Peter and Susan discover the Magic and meet Aslan, the Great Lion, for themselves. In the blink of an eye, their lives are changed forever.
Music Faves:
I have been obsessing with music this month, and listening to so many different things so I have a long list-ish for this. I also went to my 6th Caro Emerald concert and I swear they get better each time I see them so I have been listening to her on repeat!
TV/Movie Faves:
I haven’t watched much this month so it’s a pretty short list.
North and South – I rewatched this classic Victorian romance and I had forgotten how much I loved it. That scene was he just wants her to look and back gets me sobbing everytime!!
iZombie – I am currently watching the 5th season as each episode comes out on Netflix. I am patiently awaiting the final episode ever which airs on Friday and I just know I am going to cry no matter what happens because it’s over! The most recent season has been good but not as great as the original seasons where the existence of zombies was unknown. Though I might get my wish to see Major and Liv together, which would make me so unbelievably happy!
Minecraft Mapstravagansa – I know this is so nerdy but I’ve been reliving my childhood by watching Ragegaming and GenerationHollow on Youtube and their Mapstrav series. Damn I forgot how much they made me laugh!!
Favourite Thing This Month:
This month my favourite has been scrapbooking! I recently got my first scrapbook and some supplies and I have been spending hours compiling beautiful pages (some not so beautiful pages hehe) but loving ever minute of it. Until a spider hid in my scrapbooking box and attacked me whilst I was taking out my washi tapes!!! How dare it!
So that’s it for this month’s wrap up. I hope you enjoyed this and that June and July have treated you well ❤ See you tomorrow 🙂
