Teaser Tuesday #3

Hi Guys,

How has your day been? Mine has been bleh. I have an essay due on Friday and I’m in that awkward stage of writing it where it’s starting to come together but it’s also a shambles hahaha. Today I thought I’d do another Teaser Tuesday. I saw Rainne from Rainne’s Ramblings do this and I had never seen it before and it seemed like so much fun, so I gave it a shot and you guys seemed to really like it so it’s back! Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. The weekly meme wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading.

I still haven’t grasped the idea of this yet. If I pick my current read which I’m only a few chapters into, how do I know if the sentence I pick is a spoiler or not since I’ve not read it. But if I pick a book I have read already then it’s not my current read. I think this will always be a conundrum to me.

Here are the rules:
Anyone can play along! Just do the following…

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
-BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. It’s important to lose your virginity after your seventeenth birthday, but before your eighteenth birthday. Literally, even if it’s just the day before, that’s fine, but if you go into your eighteenth year still a virgin you will never have sex.
  2. Boys really like it when you say rude things to them and they find it babyish and uncool if you’re too nice. When I finally have a boyfriend little else will matter.

These are from the very first chapter: Everything I Knew About Love as a Teenager; from Dolly Alderton’s book Everything I know about Love. I’ve only read this chapter while standing in the shop before I bought it because it grabbed me straight away. I’m 19, soon turning 20 and it seems like the perfect kind of book to read as I’m in this transitional stage between teenager and adult. Hopefully a full review for this will be up once I actually read the whole thing and not just this chapter over and over again. ❤

        1. You’re definitely not being weird. That’s my favourite part of the book blogging community is finding other people who love reading just as much as you do 🥰
