Hi Guys,
How are you all doing this fine Tuesday? I’m in a good mood cause I just rearranged all the furniture in my room so now I actually have space at my desk to use it as a desk and not a dumping ground. It also means I can actually write my blog posts at a desk and not just in my bed like a lazy so and so. Anyway, made me feel very productive, which we all need during this time cause God knows it has a way of making you feel like you do nothing but watch Netflix all day (maybe it feels that way cause I do 😂)
Today I thought I’d do another Teaser Tuesday. I first saw Rainne from Rainne’s Ramblings do this and I loved the idea. I’ve done quite a few of them now..as you can see by the number 5 next to the title 😅. Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. The weekly meme wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading.
I still haven’t grasped the idea of this yet. If I pick my current read which I’m only a few chapters into, how do I know if the sentence I pick is a spoiler or not since I’ve not read it. But if I pick a book I have read already then it’s not my current read. I think this will always be a conundrum to me.
Here are the rules:
Anyone can play along! Just do the following…
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
-BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!) - Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
- ‘Did you notice the paperclips?’
Joe tired not to smile. ‘Don’t mock her. She’s a friend.’
‘Your instructions are noted, Commander.’ Damien tapped his forehead in an ironic salute. ‘I’ll treat your neighbor with absolute respect.’
Joe gave him a dubious look. ‘OK, we’ll see how that goes.’ - ‘Remove your foot, Joe, or I’ll take my Pyramid of Giza paperweight and drop it on your toes.’
‘Not the Pyramid of Giza!’ Joe said in mock terror, still not getting how serious she was with her threat.
My current read is Shaken (Struck #3) by Joss Stirling. I adored the first tow in the series (Review’s here: Struck, Stung) and so far this is no different! I am about 70% of the way through and I will probably have it done by tonight because it’s addictive to read.

In a tall, narrow brownstone, in Brooklyn, New York, there is a girl with a secret. That girl is Rose Knight. She needs to raise millions of dollars to save her father’s life. The arrogant and suave Damien Castle is good at uncovering secrets. He’s even better at catching criminals. When he meets Rose he knows something is amiss but he can’t help but get distracted. It isn’t her terrible dress sense that confuses him, or even her obsession with Egyptology. It’s the fact that he has never felt this way about a girl before.
But when duty and love are both on the line, which one will Damien choose?
‘Shaken’ is the new companion novel to Joss Stirling’s award-winning YA romantic thriller ‘Struck’ and its follow-up, ‘Stung’.
Here are some of my current thoughts:
April 12, 2020 – page 83 31.32% “So far I’m enjoy it. It hasn’t got the same initial grab of the first two in the series. I’m also not as keen on the location as I always enjoyed that the other two were set in London.
I love Rose. Her character is quirky and awkward and yet willing to fight for those she loves even if they don’t deserve it.
Damien is an interesting character, I need to read more before I decide how much I like him.”
April 12, 2020 – page 185 69.81% “Omg I’m in love! It’s perfect! The scenes between Keiran and Raven have me in stitches. The plots dragging out a little. Hopefully it will come to a swift conclusion.”
I hope you enjoyed the quotes. It was so hard to pick some because there are just so many great gems in these novels. They are arguably in my top 5 fave’s of all time so I highly recommend giving it a read it you haven’t already. Anyway, tell me below what your current read is and if your loving it as much as I am with this one! Have a good day!

All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban. “I can’t even stand right now,” Scott shouted, breathing hard.
