The Lockdown Tag 2020

Hi guys!

How’s your day been going so far? Mine has been okay I guess. Somehow in my sleep I managed to cut the skin at the inner corner of my eye and now everytime I blink it is slowly tearing closer and closer to my tear duct (Sorry for the visual! The word tearing made it so much worse!) Anyway, other than my bizarre injuries my day has been pretty chilled out – still bingeing my way through criminal minds!

Like I said in my last Lockdown related tag, I know it’s over for a lot of places, and it is definitely easing up here in Scotland but it still isn’t completely over so I am going to keep doing them because they are super fun! Today’s comes from Hello City Girl – Kae! Her blog is simply stunning, but that’s just a bonus to her amazing content! Seriously, her stuff is so amazing and chill and just yeah CHECK HER OUT Y’ALL!! ❤

Rules

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
(I wasn’t actually nominated but Thanks anyway for the great tag <3)
  2. Answer blogger’s questions.
  3. Nominate other bloggers.

Questions

  1. Which country do you live in?
I live in the gloriously sunny Scotland. If you can cope with a lot of rain and wind then I definitely recommend visiting – It is beyond beautiful! Those are some pictures I took my last trip!
  2. Favourite book?
This is like asking a parent who their favourite child is!! It’s so tough but I have to say Fall from Grace by Christine Zolendz. It’s just perfection! And it’s by far my most read book ever. Highly highly highly recommend!!
  3. How do you spend your time during lockdown?
I spend it on a variety of things. I’d say what I’ve done the most is blog (I’ve actually stuck to my schedule for once! Shocker right?!) I’ve also been helping home school my brother which has been fun! I’ve also been baking more and of course reading! And bingeing series too!
  4. Have you tried cooking a new dish because of lockdown? If yes, share the name?
I have done a lot of baking – I’ve made lots of Tiffin which is amazing. I tried to make Turkish Delight…it didn’t turn out very well haha. I made fruit tarts with creme pat which was super fun! I made cookies. Caramel too! Yeah – lots and lots of baking experiments.
My favourtie food thing I tried to make though was Garlic and Parmesan chicken. Which has since become a staple in my house. Even my fussy eater of a brother loves it!
  5. Early riser or Night owl?
Definitely a night owl 100%! I hate mornings. I got up at 5.30 once to do a writing sprint with an author for an hour before I went back to sleep haha. Typically I don’t wake up until about 9 and I go to sleep at like 1ish so definitley more of a night gal.
  6. Holiday dream destination?
I really want to go to New Orleans – but I’m waiting until I’m 21 cause what is even the point if I can’t experience the bar scene? I also really want to go to New York and see a Broadway show because I am a musical nut. And New Zealand because it looks stunning there.
  7. Favourite food?
This is tough – at the moment it is that Parmesan chicken cause its so good. But I also love pasta and potatoes so any of them!
  8. Instagram or Twitter?
I use Instagram a lot more than Twitter. My twitter tends to be more bookish though, unlike my Instagram which is just filled with my personal stuff. It’s just so fun to scroll through and tends to be less serious than twitter. Here is my Instagram. And my Twitter just in case.
  9. Favourite cartoon as a child?
Probably Scooby-doo! I loved it, I would wake up early to watch that and Pokemon Diamond before school. If we’re talking cartoon movies however, I was all about Disney Princesses and Barbie!
  10. What do you prefer on a Saturday night? Netflix or Partying?
Back when life was normal I used to work on a Saturday so after a long shift I tended to prefer just chilling and watching Netflix with a pizza. But other than that I always love a good night out with my friends, plus getting ready to go out is always half the fun!

My nominees

Since I myself wasn’t technically nominated I am saying anyone who has read this far deserves to be nominated. I will however also just tag some people for the funsies of things!

Corina
Sophie
Julie
Mani
Being Flawsome

I hope you enjoyed this! I loved the mix of questions this had. It was super fun and definitely ping back to me if you do this because I want to see what you’ve been up to too! As always, stay safe and I will see you tomorrow ❤

  1. Thanks for Maisy!!! Loved your answers. Lockdown is easing and I’m behind on the lockdown tags 😱🙈. Will have to move them up the tag list and get them done as fast as I can 😂

  2. I loved your answers! 😊 Scotland is one of my favorite places I’ve travelled to so far, and I really want to go back eventually – I’m low-key jealous you live there permanently 😁😂 And I hope your eye feels better soon! As someone who regularly hits herself in the face with her wardrobe door when getting dressed in the morning, I have the deepest sympathy for anyone with stupid injuries 😅😂😂

    1. Thanks! I am super lucky to live somewhere so pretty…even if it does rain 24/7! 😂😂 I’m glad I’m not only in the dumb injuries club – I’m blessed that I have sliding wardrobe doors, I can’t imagine all the times I could have hurt myself with them otherwise 😂😂

  3. Thanks for the shoutout Maisy 💕 My goodness, Scotland looks BEAUTIFUL. I’m gonna put it on my travel bucket list! And we have a similar taste in food, parmesan chicken and pasta are delicious (esp when you put them together in a cream sauce)!
