Teaser Tuesday #6

Hey Guys!

I was meant to do a book review today, but just like last Thursday I have still not read anything since my slump that I can review – although I can report I have at least broken the slump and have picked up a book for the first time in a month so that is progress.
When I was looking for something to replace the review with I saw that I haven’t done a Teaser Tuesday post since April and I knew I had to rectify that injustice straight away!

Today I thought I’d do another Teaser Tuesday. I first saw Rainne from Rainne’s Ramblings do this and I loved the idea. I’ve done quite a few of them now..as you can see by the number 6 next to the title 😅. Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by The Purple Booker. The weekly meme wants you to add books to your TBR, or just share what you are currently reading.

I still haven’t grasped the idea of this yet. If I pick my current read which I’m only a few chapters into, how do I know if the sentence I pick is a spoiler or not since I’ve not read it. But if I pick a book I have read already then it’s not my current read. I think this will always be a conundrum to me.

Here are the rules:
Anyone can play along! Just do the following…

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
-BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

  1. I pull open the door, and when he smiles down at me, all sexy eyes and straight teeth, all thoughts of being cool are long gone.
“Fuck. Well, I just came,” I blurt, and then my eyes go widen in horror at what I just said.
“That was easy,” he deadpans, cocking an eyebrow at me before we both burst out laughing.
  2. “To surprises and paths yet undecided.” They both raise up their glasses and clink them against mine, and I gasp as Puzzle lets out a huge fart and then runs away from himself.
Nana tsks her tongue. “Well, that ruined the moment.”

These are from Man Crush Monday by Kirsty Moseley. This isn’t my current read – but I decided to pick it in celebration of it’s sequel – Stand-In Saturday being announced the other day – release date: September 28th. As you can tell I am super hyped about it. I adore Kirsty Moseley and I’ve already signed up to be part of the release tour and other promotional stuff.

Perma-single Amy Clarke prides herself on three things: her pink hair, her Converse collection, and her ability to drink copious amounts of margarita without puking. She isn’t looking for love. She’s perfectly content with her simultaneous love affairs with Netflix and both Ben and Jerry. The trouble is, sometimes, love finds you.
Five months ago, he climbed aboard her train, and nothing has been the same since. Fast-forward to now, she still doesn’t know his name, but she knows she wants his babies.
Her crush—this tall, dark, and handsome dork who gets on her train every other Monday—has no idea he brightens her day with his panty-wetting smile and laugh that makes her pulse quicken.
When a chance encounter outside of work forces them to have their first proper conversation, things quickly go from loving him from afar to up close and very personal. With a string of disastrous exes in her past, has Amy finally found her Mr Perfect? Or does fate have other plans?

Here is my full review.

That’s all for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed this. It’s one of my all-time favourite reads and I am so excited for Theo’s story! Highly highly recommend. Have a great day ❤
