My 500th Post

Hi guys,

What a way to kick-start the week! 500…is a very big number. I’ve said this in almost all of my milestone posts, that I am very surprised my Blog even outlasted the summer holidays of 2017 – let alone nearly 4 years later. Thanks to any of you who are still kicking around from back then because they know that this had a rocky start! It obviously goes without saying – thank you to all of you – new or old, who are reading my blog posts. I’d like to say I do it for you guys but we all know I’d still be here typing away even if no one read these because I need an outlet for my bookish thoughts or I’d combust.

My first post went live on the 16th of July 2017. I hadn’t been an avid reader for very long but I definitely think joining this community made me love reading all the more. I have definitely had a rocky posting schedule over the years, but in 2020 I did so well with staying consistent and I am so proud of myself for that. And when you compare what I managed to the other years it really puts all the others to shame. I hope to continue the consistency this year, but who knows.

Since then my stats look something like this:

Since July of 2017 (3 Years, 7 Months and 5 Days ago), my blog has had 25,294 views by 12,635 visitors. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my rambles.

People from 112 different countries have read my blog. I can’t even quite fathom that – 112 countries!! That is nearly the whole world!

I have received 10,597 likes and 2,252 comments. Your support is unbelievable and I can’t put into words how much your I love seeing and hearing from you guys! So please keep it up.

In all my blog posts combined, I have written a total of 443,861 words…which is just crazy! I knew I had a lot of bookish thoughts to share but not nearly half a million words worth of thoughts!! That’s nearly 9 novel’s worth of writing. WOW!

In a few of my previous milestone posts I have listed some of my favourites…but I really don’t know if it’s possible for me to isolate my favourites at this point with so many under my belt. I love them all for different reasons but one that always comes to mind is my Tips for New Bloggers post because it got so much love and support and it helped me make so many new blogging friends. So that will probably always have an extra special place in my heart.

I want to say one last huge thank you to the 1,412 people who follow my blog and give it the occasional read. And another big thank you for those you still read but don’t follow. I know I said at the start that I would do this whether anyone read or not but it is most certainly far nicer having you all around to chat with. SO THANK YOU! ❤
I hope that you keep stopping by. Thanks for all the comments and love I have been getting recently. This community is incredible and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Now enough of the soppy stuff. I will see you tomorrow with a bit of a bookish haul ❤

  1. Amazing!! I just read your linked post about tips for new bloggers and it was really helpful. I stared my blog last week! Set a goal to hit 1000 visitors in March. I had 800 in Feb 🤯 so I think it’s a good goal to work towards!
