It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? #8

Hi all!

I hope your weekend was good. How has your Monday been going so far? I’ve been shopping with my parents which was good and I had a skype night with some of my book friends last night which was so fun even if I did spectacularly fail the quiz haha.
Anyway, today’s post is a It’s Monday, What Are You Reading? post. These have quickly become a monthly occurrence and I don’t think I will be stopping anytime soon because I am really enjoying them. I think they are great because they are a bit like wrap-up but in the middle of the month. It’s when I talk about what I am currently reading, what I just read and what I plan to read. It’s hosted by the Book Date. So I hope you enjoy, let’s get on with it!

What I Read Last Week:

I’ve not been doing much reading recently sadly. After I hit 100 books read this year last month it’s like all my motivation to read has been zapped from me; however, I still managed to read 2 books last week: Rekker by Ava York and Stolen by An Alien by Amanda Milo because I am still firmly on my Alien Smut binge. I gave both 3 stars, they were okay but by no means the best sci-fi romances I have read recently. They both had great elements and I’d definitely read from the authors again though.

What I am Reading:

I am currently reading nothing sadly because like I mentioned, while I am not in a slump per say I am definitely reading far far less than I have in recent months since I started off the year finishing 20-22 books each month and now I am lucky to break the double digits.

What I Plan to Read Next:

Despite my slumpiness, there is one book I am definitely going to read this coming week and that is The Naked Alien by Honey Phillips. I am buddy reading it with two of my friends from High School who have never read sci-fi romances/alien smut or any smut in general really. I really hope it’s good and I can convert them to the genre. But I know we are meant to start it this week so hopefully that will motivate me to pick it up.
