Hey guys,
Happy Monday! I hope you’ve all had a good day so far. Today, I’m in Leeds meeting one of the friends I have made on Bookstagram which is awesome! I’m pre-writing this but I’m sure I’m having a blast!
As always this is a Spoiler Free review.
I picked the paperback of this up on Amazon during a Sale without knowing much except that it was a romance so I went in pretty blind but I enjoyed it!
Anyway, let’s jump into the review.

Goodreads Description:
Two childhood friends are playing house—and maybe playing for keeps—in this sexy, and unpredictable marriage-of-convenience romance. To save her Tennessee bed-and-breakfast, Sophie Bates needs a fast-cash miracle. Holden McKenzie, her childhood best friend, needs to prove to a prospective employer that he’s a committed man. Their fortunes on the line, Holden proposes…a solution. He’ll take care of Sophie’s bills if she agrees to a temporary marriage of convenience. And why not? They’re comfortable together, they have fun, and they trust each other. It’s as simple as saying “I do.” But the off-the-cuff wedding has all of Honey Creek talking—and Sophie and Holden realizing that their perfect arrangement is working too well. If they’re not careful, this marriage could turn into a love story.
Review:
This was a nice sweet read that broke the slump I have been in for the last few days. I love a fake fiance romance so this was so up my street. I have never read anything by Adriana Locke before and this did not disappoint. It had just the right amount of banter and wit to balance out the cute romance and the sad but realistic backstories too.
The characters were likable, maybe a little flat in places but their chemistry felt real and believable which is often the hardest but most important thing to get right in a romance novel. At least for me.
This had me laughing aloud a few times so that’s always another really good sign.
If you want a sweet small-town romance then I would definitely recommend this. I can’t wait to read more from Adriana Locke.
Overall Score = 7/10

This book was a fun summer read and I definitely recommend it. I love a fake fiance/marriage of convenience book so this was so up my street and I liked that I went in kind of blind about it. I hope you enjoyed and I will see you on Wednesday for my Word of the Week ❤
